It’s more than fair to criticize Bryce Underwood’s overall performance this season. But some of the personal insults directed at him are pretty gross, especially when they’re coming from adults willing to put their names behind them.
By all accounts, Underwood is a great kid, a great teammate, and someone who works hard to be successful. That’s been consistent among current and former coaches, teammates, and people around the program.
The only thing he’s “guilty” of is not yet meeting the lofty expectations we all placed on him. And let’s be honest: he clearly had those same expectations for himself.
It feels like the Underwood era in Ann Arbor might be over. If it is, it’s a shocking way for it to come to an end after so much promise. But if the chapter at Michigan is over, his football story is far from finished. With the right fit and the right staff, it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him eventually become one of the top QBs in college football.
The talent is obviously there. He just needs the right environment for it all to come together.

@MurraysWhoTweet Are any Murray’s from Asheville or Murrayville on here? Just trying to deep dive and see who might be a cousin or two. I built out a family tree for my son to know The Murray family. Just curious.
