The UK FMC team have been busy out in the field reviewing our Fundatis® herbicide trials powered by Isoflex® active, which were established last autumn. 🚜
Visiting plots at this stage of the season is always valuable, giving us the opportunity to assess performance and see how applications are holding up.
As the photos show, Fundatis® herbicide applied alone at 1.0L/ha pre-emergence (picture 2) is delivering excellent suppression of groundsel and cranesbill vs untreated (picture 1). ✅ 👍
When partnered with other active ingredients (picture 3) the results speak for themselves. 🚜
Results like these highlight the importance of robust autumn herbicide programmes and well-planned integrated weed control strategies to set crops up for success. 👏
With the exciting news that Fundatis® herbicide, powered by Isoflex® active is now registered 🎊 in Great Britain for autumn use in winter wheat and winter barley, Gareth Jones explains why this product, which brings a new mode of action into cereals, will be an important new tool for growers when planning their broadleaf and grassweed control strategies. 🚜 🚜

Following on from our top tips for tissue testing, it’s really important to keep on top of nutritional issues before visual symptoms appear in the field. 👀 Once visual symptoms are evident, significant impact to your crop is already under way. 🚜
In the image below, you can see that there is yellowing of the crop and the tramlines are looking greener. This is a clear indication that the crop is suffering from manganese deficiency which was confirmed with a quick tissue testing analysis. 🌱
An application of manganese in nitrate form will quickly remedy the issue before any further yield potential is lost. 🚜
With it starting to feel a bit more like spring, our thoughts turn to evaluating early crop nutritional requirements by tissue testing 🌱
Here are our top 5 tips when it comes to taking samples from your fields for tissue testing analysis🌱

We have really enjoyed working with @JanineAcrops and @cpm_magazine on an article which celebrates 40 years of FMC's SU herbicides 🥳

Steve Harrison from Southwest Agronomy first used the SU herbicides when he started his career in agronomy which was in 1985 🌱🌱
"Ally DF was launched in 1985 which was the same year as I became involved in agronomy, like all technology usage practices have evolved, especially employing mixtures with other herbicide groups to combat resistance threats 🚜🚜
First reaction from farmers was incredulity that such a tiny amount could be so active" 🌱🌱
📢 It's not very often you can say that a crop protection product has been on the UK market for four decades ‼️
Cast your mind back to 1985... This is the year that Metsulfuron was first launched onto the UK cereal market 🌱
