Padraig McDonald RIP
Just nine weeks ago we immersed ourselves in the 'Up for the Final' chat night in a packed out hall at @LoughmacroryGAA. We shot the breeze and had the craic with Padraig's daddy Paddy on the stage as his mummy Kerry and the Loughmacrory community watched on. Tomorrow that same proud and incredibly supportive community will come together once again to say goodbye to Padraig. Taken from us far too soon. We at TTM pass on our condolences to Paddy, Kerry, Pearse, Hanna, Sean and Daithi. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
Coiste Chontae Thír Eoghain is deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Padraig McDonald, a member of one of our strongest Gaelic families, and cherished brother of our 2025 All-Ireland Minor Football Champion, Pearse.
'Ní mhaireann buairt ach seal ach ta an grá buan | Troubles last a while but love is eternal.'
Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Padraig's family - his parents Paddy and Kerry, siblings Pearse, Hanna, Shan and Daithí - and wider family circle, to his many friends and colleagues, to his teammates, and to the Gaels of Loch Mhic Ruairí.
‘Go mairfidh Padraig beo i measc Na n-Aingeal i saol nach dual dó cosc ná críoch | May Padraig live forever among The Angels in a world never destined to end.’
