Smethwick warrior Sam Eggington has confirmed his retirement.

Eggington, who once intended to become a journeyman, went on to win the British, Commonwealth and European titles during his thrilling 46-fight career.

He leaves the sport as one of British boxing’s most dependable crowd-pleasers.

All the best in retirement, Sam. 👏
