Excited to launch @SeatGeek's ChatGPT app.
It combines the intelligence of LLMs alongside SeatGeekโs data and UX, allowing people to shop for tickets like never before

h/t @CJKMerriman@chrisvoll for being awesome teammates to bring this to life with, showcasing the power of small, blurred-lined, AI forward teams
@eglyman I built a fun โ๏ธ jet plane scanner for kids & their Yoto players, that ended up winning their developer challenge and is enjoyed by 30k families monthly - https://t.co/lK0cdYxhZe
๐ What if you could see what came with a suite before you bought that VIP ticket?
With Beyond the Seat, fans get immersive views, details on premium perks, and a clearer look at what makes every ticket worth it.
Available now for select events. More to follow. ๐

Heroic effort from the @StubHub engineering team to rollout out upfront prices for fans over the past 36 hours. And they are still going! Only mobile web and native apps to go!!

I appreciate @alixanfang from @StubHub reaching out to me directly.
Alix stated to me the @StubHub engineer team is rolling everything out and will comply with โAll Inโ ๐๏ธ pricing moving forward.
@ScottFriedman3@SeatGeek Weโre keeping the toggle around for now because weโve heard from some fans that they still wish to compare prices without fees, particularly sellers. But as of this morning the default for all users visiting SeatGeek will be to see prices including fees regardless of past pref.
@BY272727@ScottFriedman3 We are live with including fees everywhere in US. Can you share the events you are seeing excluding fees as default on please Ben?
The new maps on @SeatGeek are very impressive. The combine many features that make it easier for users to find the best seats within their budget
Fans love ISMs (individual seat maps) and the ability to see many price points easily in one view
Hereโs my hottest take:
โProduct ledโ is worse than โfeature factoryโ for the vast majority of B2B businesses.
Most product managers would do well to swallow their pride and listen more to what sales is asking for.
'The only way to restore competition ... is to break up Ticketmaster and Live Nation.'
SeatGeek CEO Jack Groetzinger says consumers suffer with the lack of competition in the ticket industry, adding 'venues fear losing Live Nation concerts if they donโt use Ticketmaster.'
Great thread from @soundboy on what we were trying to @songkick and how it all went down. No coincidence, Ticketmaster stopped innovating with onsales as soon as @songkick was out of the picture.
@iamjackstephens@Lefsetz Unfortunately this can only change through legislation. Data shows all in pricing significantly hurts conversion, compared to adding fees later in funnel. Low incentive to be a first mover, even with exclusive inventory https://t.co/zyqhllQ69q
Iโve seen a lot of sentiment like this around #TaylorSwiftTix. Totally agree. Competition is needed to drive innovation. But what might that innovation look like? Itโs not about solving the scale problem that comes with millions of Swities hitting your app all at once. ๐งต
In a functional market economy, Taylor Swift sees what's happening with Ticketmaster and says "we'll be going with one of your competitors next time."
in America's dumb consolidated economy, all she can do is hope they improve next time
It also needs artists and promoters to give up their sold-out in-minutes vanity metrics, their "take down Ticketmaster" headlines, and maybe some of their sponsored presales. But in return, theyโll be giving their fans a much better, fairer experience.
