@rexsceleratorum@Righttothe9272@ScottyDoge@jk_rowling Ok mr I only use google. It’s rlly not hard to look into the topic and look at academic studies into it which describe the big fat difference between sex and gender.
@rexsceleratorum@Righttothe9272@ScottyDoge@jk_rowling Sexes are male and female if we’re talking biologically. As I’ve said, there can be umbrella terms used SOCIALLY to describe different types of women and men. This can include descriptors such as age, ethnicity, appearance, and yes trans/cis.
@MarkTwitt495693 @ScottyDoge@jk_rowling I do see what you’re saying, and understand people wanting to be safe from the men that are a danger. I personally don’t think and majority of stats don’t suggest trans women are the danger. Making the biology more distinct may give rise to biological men claiming to be trans men
@MarkTwitt495693 @ScottyDoge@jk_rowling I think this argument is a little murky because that could include a number of different sexualities and could be misconstrued into something creepy when it’s not. Lesbians are also attracted to women, whilst being women themselves.
@Righttothe9272@ScottyDoge@jk_rowling If that’s the distinction you want to make. I was just explaining what people may mean when they say trans women are women.
@EmpanadasUnited @ScottyDoge@jk_rowling I think trans people wish to have just respect as humans to be honest. A lot of people are rude and disrespectful towards pronouns purely because they ‘don’t believe in it’, despite the fact that everyone has and uses pronouns. I see there probably are people that are like that
@Righttothe9272@ScottyDoge@jk_rowling I don’t think that mantra is saying ‘trans women are biologically the same as someone born a woman’. If anything, it’s saying trans women are a sub category of women as an umbrella term.
@MarkTwitt495693 @ScottyDoge@jk_rowling There have been more studies done in recent years in the subject of gender identity, which are scientifically sound so I don’t agree that it’s completely unscientific to claim, but I do see your point
@MarkTwitt495693 @ScottyDoge@jk_rowling I agree to an extent, however I think a lot of the problem with bathrooms especially are based on fear-mongering and pure misinformation, and can in turn have the opposite effect of what is wanted.
