@tedlieu@POTUS The Queen, after greeting the Donald (and Melania), turned to Anne to see who was next. But there wasn't anyone waiting: Trump was the last leader to be received by the Queen. No disrespect from The Princess Royal although many of us Brits would have been sympathetic!
@Andrew_Adonis I distinctly remember at the Brexit debate in Maldon being somewhat disturbed by @JWhittingdale stating that he didn't even think Rory Stewart was a Tory when I expressed a preference for his Conservatism ... sad times.
@realDonaldTrump and for all your spending if your mate Putin was to step out of line I can't imagine a world in which you would have the balls to stick up for your fellow NATO members ... just saying
@Andrew_Adonis Whilst I enjoyed your historical take on our situation (and perhaps the church setting wasn't all that conducive) I had hoped for a much more robust debate with @JWhittingdale particularly as he is a firm Boris supporter and proponent of no deal.
@GregHands@Jeremy_Hunt Jeremy Hunt's response was I thought to say that everyone should be able to earn Β£1,000 per month without paying tax. The personal allowance is already Β£12,500 p.a. so what extra was he offering?
@Peston@theresa_may Everyone I've spoken to today is sick to death of these self interested MPs who didn't vote in favour of the WA today. It's a compromise, it's a way forward and it respects the referendum whilst giving the country a stable transition period.
@RoryStewartUK@BBCPolitics Well said @RoryStewartUK ! I'm glad she said what she said. I'm bored with pleading with my ERG MP to just support the Withdrawal Agreement. I'd like all these thin skinned, ego/party centric MPs to climb off their unicorns and let us all move on.
@Peston I'm glad she said what she said last night. I'm bored with pleading with my ERG MP to just support the Withdrawal Agreement. I'd like all these thin skinned, ego/party centric MPs to climb off their unicorns and let us all move on. #supporttheresa
@JeremyVineOn5 There's nothing new about this. In the 70s we had endless cake stalls and fetes to raise money for the school funds. We had no teaching assistants to pay for but thanks to strict discipline and respect for teaching staff we were well educated with barely an exclusion.
