@jefrog3 @didcot97 @DavidMcGregorBN net zero isn't producing no CO2 it's about offsetting any we do and yes unfortunately you do damage creating any kind of infrastructure. But the footprint for a lot of renewables is very minimal and can be offset with environmental work and careful planning/design

A large amount of things that improve your standard of living can be electrified to run off mains and created with the use of electrical power which can come from renewables. I'm not meaning necessarily batteries either. That's a different issue

I'm not saying everything has to be environmentally friendly. But as environmentally friendly as possible should be the aim

Per capita India is less of a polluter than the UK and is lower than the global per capita in CO2 emissions and China is less of a polluter than counties like Canada and the US. Would you not even just like clean air to breath anyway in the UK anyway?

@jefrog3 @didcot97 @DavidMcGregorBN Countries like China and India need to improve and reduce fossil fuel use. But India is the 5th largest producer of renewable energy globally with almost 50% of their energy coming from renewables and China is the world's largest producer of renewable energy.
