Scholars using Fractions strips and number bonds to represent and identify fractions. The extension of this activity was to use non unit fractions to get to the whole. Scholars doing well so far in Bluebonnet Math Module 5. @cedarhillisd

In my Professional development, my coordinator showed us a great way to keep scholars engaged. Today during our down time, scholars rolled a 🎲 and wrote the multiplication equation and product to build fluency. @cedarhillisd#MathOnTheHill
Scholars enjoying the bluebonnet math sprints! I’m using precise timings to ensure the lesson meets minute requirements. So far the only adjustments I’ve made based on feedback was allowing scholars to reflect on their answers and setting a goal. So I’ve done that.
Scholars are doing amazing things in 3rd grade math. In module two of bluebonnet our foundational numbers unit is smooth sailings. I’ve set a system for scholars to complete interactive notes during the concept development. Here are some student samples. Proud of my kiddos ❤️
Scholars working hard to really understand the concept of representing numbers. I love how bluebonnet math has scholars representing numbers in all forms using disks and charts. I’m EXCITED for the data.
I feel so proud of my scholars on using strategies taught to solve word problems. Working with bluebonnet math has taught my scholars to always break down a word problem using models and diagrams! Small group is used to reinforce strategies, scholars love it!
Scholars are doing amazing things using bluebonnet math. The strategies and methods we are using to solve problems are creating a cultivating environment that peaks their interest in problem solving.
My class won at tug a war three times! I am going to miss this group of scholars. We all want nothing but the best for each other. I’ve built a family and it will continue! FIELD DAY!
The leadership at @CHISDCP and my mentor @Ronnie_Davis__ for recognizing the excellence I fulfill in my third grade position. Your leadership has been a blessing and I’m thankful to learn from the best. 🤟🏼
