We don’t talk enough about how much courage it takes to move on without an apology. So many people’s lives are affected by this. Being able to apologize is the truest sign of character. Imagine how much less wounded we’d be if people sincerely said, I’m sorry.

I think I’m grieving the loss not of who you are but who you want to be. The person you want to believe you are so you need not take accountability. I think I’m grieving the loss of an “us” that never existed but that I wanted to believe we could be. #grief
