Some of the children were keen to challenge themselves in Maths today. They have been solving number problems beyond 20. They used addition and subtraction.

We played quick write this morning, Miss Gallagher put a picture on the board and Red Class wrote the word.

This week we are reading and discussing the book 'The Last Tree' in our oracy sessions. We discussed the statement 'A wall makes you feel safe' on Monday and on Wednesday we talked about why we need trees. Super oracy skills everyone!

We have been using 2D and 3D shapes to make different structures. We discussed which ones would be better and then walked around the classroom to see our friends creations.

Our number of the week is 14. We have been exploring lots of different ways to make 14.

You’ll never guess what! Last week we came back to school and found that somebody had been hard at work outside building some houses 🏠 We have a good idea about who it might have been 🐷!

We enjoyed our walk around Charlton Kings today - no rain! We looked at the features of the area - some we had seen before and some we hadn't. We are very lucky to live here.

We have been conducting an investigation, which car will travel the furthest? We then placed some tape and measured how far each one had travelled.
