Within 48 hours, we published our #HonestObit, finalized funeral arrangements, planned an ofrenda at the statehouse, and alerted the media.
The morning after we buried #MarkUrquiza, we woke up to a front page story in @azcentral and more media requests than we could fathom.⤵️
@conniechansf@DanielLurie It’s insane that 5 days after “restoring” power to the Richmond, the sub-station at 24th Ave is powered by 6 gigantic diesel generators! The blocks nearby are unbearable from noise and fumes. What on earth is going on here? @PGE4Me#sanfrancisco#pge
@mike_dewald Richmond district lost power again this morning (Wednesday) for about an hour.
Seems like @PGE4Me is running the Richmond district off diesel mobile generators. For how long? We can hear them roaring all day/night from two blocks away.
@ABC Maybe let’s talk about the 10k residents still without power, SF’s record-setting @PGE4Me rate$$, and complete lack of support, info, and accountability?
SF Outage Update: The 2PM #Nutcracker performance at the #SFOpera House is ON using its backup generator. PG&E is helping secure temporary generation for the 7 PM show.
@DanielLurie@SF_emergency More than 15 hours without an updated timeline from PGE. How are we supposed to plan? Do support stations have ice for perishables? Will we receive compensation for food and emergency amenities like batteries and eating out? Not everyone can just drive to & splurge on services.
@DanielLurie There was no internet service during the blackout and even cellphone internet was out. How are people supposed to get important information when the internet goes dark? It's completely unacceptable to leave SF residents in the dark with no access to emergency information.
@DanielLurie After power is restored, please focus your office on helping #RichmondDistrict residents file our claims for ruined food, dry ice and necessary restaurant meals. I am told the process is difficult. Thank you. @PGE4Me#blackout

@Throwaway694213 That is a fun fact!
Unfortunately it doesn't mitigate the current impacts, especially given the literal & figurative change in climate.
Sorry not sorry: #FleetWeek is disruptive BS in the name of macho performative nationalism.
We're barely managing a sick cat & anxious dog during this major heat wave (with no AC - bc #SF), and now we have to shut the windows to mitigate the house-shaking d!ck-measuring contest.
