@MetamateDaz People worked and were proud and didn’t take handouts nor did anyone demand them because there was little available. Big government and these programs are as much to blame or more to blame than anything else. Remember when you vote NOTHING is free and you are paying for it.

@MetamateDaz Remember something else very important, we really had no social programs, social security was for the old, little to no fraud in Medicare and Medicaid because it was strictly enforced, illegal immigration was kept down, no refugees and welfare and food stamps.

@MetamateDaz But we all lived within our means and if eggs were 10 dollars, a dozen last a month, we just did without and substituted. No one got what they WANTED, you lived and had what was needed, and hoped someday you would have more.
