Hokuto Vega won from a mile to 2400 (which is even more distance variation than the American triple crown, Though horses like Palace Malice was a Belmont winner who also won the Met Mile do exist. There are a fair amount of horses that can win from the distance but remember that
impressive as winning a single G1? 5? 10? 15?
in the first place, don't they look 'weak' just because that horse is so strong?
this is a common talking point against dirt horses, since the local field is usually seen as weaker. though i'm just a noob, it does feel odd
@chancurre@Salty_Zalty Dream Core was 2nd but I guess you're talking about Oka? I liked her but imo she's a 2000-2400 mare (even if normcore won the vicmile)
Also, Yahagi talked about Sakai winning a JRA G1, that could be the Champions Cup or even Arima with FY
But honestly I think that could be Yahagi giving Sakai Stanislas, Big Kitason could work with Sakai even if he's not running on dirt...
This is probably why Bonheur's struggling so much i have to be fr... she's like 2 apple tall (smaller than Nishino flower but not as extreme as Melo-chan)
@V_UMA_LOVE I'd like Malathaat and Letruska to be referenced in Marche Lorraine's career. Maybe even the late Blue Stripe and Horologist due to them being in Japan.
@JazoReal1@MirumReeves Funny thing is that I do enjoy some Korean idol stuff (shout out X!Dent)
But that's because it's alt idol stuff. I'd probably fw Korean idol more if more artists sounded like this (but then again im not really in my alt idol phase anymore)

@JazoReal1@MirumReeves Honestly I should probably blame Jojo to some extent, that got me into Weather report and probably started my thing for genre fusion, Whether it be those jazz classics, j idols singing metal/prog rock, metal bands incorporating folk or shoegaze, or synth artists remixing classics
@JazoReal1@MirumReeves Gen z-er. started with video game music and rock, but my music taste became more incoherent over time.
I probably have a favorite for most genres except for like country and contemporary pop (again not cause I think it's beneath me, I just don't jive with the sound)
@MirumReeves But i'm just a lot more fond of instrumental music. I love Holst's the Planets, Bill Evans' Sunday at the Village Vanguard and the Xenoblade 2 ost...
(Im ngl thats probably why I enjoy madlib and DOOM so much, their beats are great...)
@MirumReeves Raid - Madvillian/MF DOOM and Madlib
Get it Together - Beastie Boys (ft Q Tip)
Protect Ya Neck - Wu Tang Clan
BMIG - Asheru
Bring the Noise - Public Enemy
Like I do enjoy a fair amount of hip hop and would say ill communication and madvillainy are among my favorites...
