📶 One of the reasons for power imbalance in the aid and development sectors is a lack of language inclusion.

For instance, addressing this imbalance looks like language-aware programming for effective, responsive, and accountable assistance. Or technology that truly includes the languages spoken where organizations work. 🚀

And more importantly, they very often don't have resources to solve their situation, they can't speak up, and they can't get essential information in languages they understand.

Language accessibility is everything in a crisis.

With the California wildfires affecting celebrity homes, social media feeds are filled with first-hand accounts of the devastating effects of climate change on people's lives.

But not all the people affected are stars.

Since the beginning of January, intense fighting in eastern DRC has displaced more than 102,000 people, according to UNOCHA.

This surge in displacement adds to an already severe and long-standing crisis, deepening instability in the region.
