During the month of May, Joey Cantillo got it done both in the community and on the bump for your Guardians!

Throughout the month, Joey lead a Fun at Bat school visit, made a delicious meal at Ronald McDonald House, and attended the Cleveland Asian Festival! #CLEinspires

Last week we made it official! Guardians second baseman Travis Bazzana joined us to cut the ribbon and welcome Northeast Ohio’s youth baseball & softball athletes through the doors for the very first time at the Guardians Training Center.

He wasn’t alone. Akron RubberDucks Jaison Chourio (OF), Justin Campbell (P), Sean Matson (P), and Development Coach Gustavo Nava Sanchez were all on hand to mark the moment alongside athletes from Tri-C’s baseball and softball teams.

The energy was electric, and so was the talent in the room. The first glimpse of how a new generation will grow their game right here in our community.

As we close CLE Inspires Month, we may have saved the best for last! Here is a recap of Adrian’s night at the ballpark on Friday thanks to our friends at Make-A-Wish Ohio, Adrian got to meet players and coaches at batting practice, got a personalized jersey, an official Guards contract and tossed a ceremonial first pitch! No better way to check in on our 2026 strikeout totals for the Dollar Bank Foundation’s K’s for Kids program than by watching this beautiful double play again!

For every strikeout by a Guardians starting pitcher this season, the Dollar Bank Foundation will donate to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio! ⚾️

A few weeks ago to lead off 2026 CLE inspires month presented by Northeast Ohio Ford Dealers, the Cleveland Guardians hosted a FREE coaching clinic at Progressive Field in partnership with @usabasecoach and @positivecoachus

The day was full of thoughtful insights, collaboration, and passion for the game of baseball & softball. If you’re a local coach or parent looking for another FREE resource, the Guardians will be hosting another coaching clinic as well as a parent clinic with our friends from the Positive Coaching Alliance.

Over the last two weeks, Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s (CMSD) Senate League has held championship games for their competing schools in baseball and softball. The Senate League has been a longtime beneficiary of Cleveland Guardians Charities.

Cleveland State University played host to the CMSD softball championship game where Bard defeated James Rhodes in extras by a score of 5-4. Congratulations Bard!

Over the last two weeks, Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s (CMSD) Senate League has held championship games for their competing schools in baseball and softball. The Senate League has been a longtime beneficiary of Cleveland Guardians Charities.

The Guardians were glad to host the CMSD baseball championship game at Progressive Field where James Rhodes took down Lincoln West 5-1. Congratulations Rhodes!

The Cleveland Guardians are excited to bring FREE coaching and parenting resources through our partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance to the greater Cleveland community!

All Cleveland baseball & softball coaches and parents are encouraged to register for the virtual workshops. All attendees will receive credit to be certified through the Guardians GRIT Certification program. Which will include an opportunity to take in batting practice before a Guardians game for select coaches.

Last Thursday, over $350,000 raised for Cleveland Guardians Charities at our annual golf outing! Thank you to all of our golfers, alumni, current players and coaches, our front office volunteers and our title sponsors, MinuteMen Staffing and Einheit Electric for your incredible support! Despite the chilly temperatures, it was a fun day at Firestone Country Club.
