Chesapeake Science Point (CSP) Middle School is on the move and celebrating 20 years! School Board Chair Claudia Chang and CEO Mr. Yilmaz Ak memorialize the celebration by cutting the 20th Anniversary Commemorative Cake. Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation CEO, Mr. Yilmaz Ak, was honored to welcome Mr. Eugene Pinkard, Jr., President of Instruction Partners, for a special visit.
As part of his visit, Dr. Rosalynn Gaskins, Principal of CMIT North High School, led a dynamic school tour showcasing innovative classroom instruction, engaging student learning, and meaningful interactions with our dedicated administrative and instructional teams.
During a visit to Chesapeake Science Point (CSP) Middle/High School, Mrs. Rachel Pratt engaged Dr. Mark Bedell, Superintendent of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, and Principal Derrell Owens in an art activity, while Dr. George Roberts, Associate Superintendent for the Division of Instruction and School Performance, Board Member Gloria Dent, and AACPS Director of Academics Christina Catalano looked on. Dr. Bedell also observed student engagement in CSP classrooms as part of the visit. Representatives from both the AACPS Superintendent’s Office and the Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation Executive Team toured the school, with CLF CEO Mr. Yilmaz Ak engaging directly with Board Member Gloria Dent during the visit.
