So proud of our recent alums. @RBHSGators are the current Student Body Presidents @UofSC and @ClemsonUniv and Vice President @UofSC (Patton, Kellan and Courtney) Outstanding young people who consistently put service over self. All past River Bluff @CLGPD students as well! #InspireTheBluff2024
Level 1s and 2s went to the National Advocacy Center today where they served as jurors in a civil case mock trial. Amazing learning experience, as always.
Level 1s took a field trip to Federal Ct today where they got to see an arraignment, a detention hearing, and got to speak with a fed magistrate judge. They are pictured here with Judge Hodges who talked with them about the federal court system and answered their questions.
The Level 1s had their first field trip today to the SC Supreme Court. They saw an interesting case being argued, they asked great questions, and were very professional in their dress and their behavior. Looking forward to more field work experiences with this group!!
Level 1s had their first guest speakers today and asked some very insightful questions. Thanks to @MicahCaskey and @shanemassey for speaking about the policy making process in SC.
It was a great celebration of the newest Law Center alumni in our stole ceremony today. We are so proud of them and excited for all the things they will do going forward.
Their final Law Center assignment is in the books. Their capstone presentations were filled with reflections on how they have grown in their two years in the Center and how they will continue to grow after high school. Next up, stole ceremony and then on to graduation!!
It’s been a while since we’ve been able to do a mock trial. The Level 2s put Dominique Stephens on trial today and they did great! Definitely some future litigators in this group! And a shout out to our former Law Center students who served as jurors!
Proud is an understatement!! These @CLGPD seniors presented their symposium on human rights this evening and did an amazing job. They were well spoken, mature, informative, thought provoking, and engaging. We are thankful for all those who attended the event!
