Baustert Schaeffer was a four-time track All-America runner, three times in the indoor 800-meter run and once in the 1,500 outdoors.

She won seven UAA titles and earned 20 All-UAA honors in cross country and track. She still holds the Tartans' 800 meter indoor record.
