🚨 Bad bill alert: We need you to call your Ohio Senator AND Ohio rep today to help stop HB 472, which could make voting impossible for thousands of eligible Ohio voters. Here's what's happening:
📃Until this week, HB 472 was a bipartisan bill focused on helping Ohioans experiencing homelessness obtain the documents they need to get an ID and participate in civic life. It was good!
😤 But now lawmakers are trying to replace it with a substitute bill that makes major changes to Ohio's vote-by-mail system.
🪢The new bill would require new photo ID for absentee voters, create a new online application system, and impose significant new responsibilities on county Boards of Elections.
Here's what's bad about the bill:
👵🏼 It will make voting by mail harder for a lot seniors, voters with disabilities, and other Ohioans who rely on absentee voting who can't easily get to the BMV
🗳️ It's an unfunded mandate for Boards of Elections, who are given huge new major new responsibilities to implement a brand new system with no clear funding plan
🧐 And this 121-page election bill was introduced with little time for the public—or even committee members—to review and understand it. It's being heard in House committee TODAY.
Election law is complicated. Changes this significant deserve careful review, public input, and thoughtful consideration before moving forward. A Syrian billionaire needed U.S. sanctions lifted so he could cash in on $12 billion in reconstruction contracts.

In an attempt to influence American foreign policy, he proposed a Trump-branded golf course, cut Jared Kushner & Ivanka Trump into a multibillion-dollar real estate deal for a resort in Albania, and had someone physically deliver a stone engraved with the Trump family crest to a Republican Member of Congress with instructions to take it to the White House to get the President's attention.

Trump threw his weight behind repealing the sanctions. They were lifted. The contracts are moving, the Trump family’s deals are expanding, and not a single Washington Republican is willing to say a word about any of it.

This is a corruption of everything the office of the presidency is supposed to stand for, and the American people deserve to know about it.

ICE bounty hunters charged with threats of violence—for pointing guns at citizens while disguised as "plumbers."

Driver leans out van door to point gun at woman's head—tries to pull trigger 3 times.

Then runs over bystander with van while speeding away.

"I'm going to get you with my pepper ball gun," another bounty hunter yells out—before firing multiple shots.

Their van had a sign for "Midwest Plumbers" painted on the side.

Garrett Willis, 28, and James Willis, 54, have each been charged with two counts of threats of violence.

Local police did nothing at the time of the incident in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.

ICE set to deport U.S. Army Veteran "at any moment"—detained 5 months for failure to use turn signal.

"I shed my blood for this country," he said on the phone.

"You're not from this country, but you serve. You're willing to die for this country. That should matter," his wife added.

He is now locked up in a special detention center to prepare for deportation—and denied access to a hearing in front of a judge.

Godfrey Wade served 8 years with deployment across 4 continents—after moving to the U.S. with a green card at age 15.

He won multiple awards—including a Wartime Veteran Medal, an Overseas Service Medal, and a U.S. Army Commendation Medal.

Military veterans like him, who are also immigrants, used to have protected status—until Trump ordered ICE to end the policy in April of 2025.

Since then he has been living with his partner, 6 children, and 3 grandchildren in Atlanta, Georgia.
