Mil Twiiter, thoughts on sr leaders who are extremely reluctant to allow fully qualified females to deploy because it might be dangerous? Rough quote from the ldr is "she will be the only female on the team, she can't go". I called BS. Considering elevating to MEO now.

One of my biggest pet peeves in the military. Why should I have to play my Chief's card to get things done for my troops. If you are willing to do it for an E9, you should be as equally willing to do it for anyone in my organization regardless of rank.

One of my SNCOs retired this weekend and just prior to his retirement he sent me a note saying he is proud of how I've developed as a leader and regrets that he won't have more time with me. Man...that hits me right in the feels.

Note to self...next time you stay at Army lodging, shower BEFORE the soldiers get back from PT. Otherwise expect a brisk (i.e. frigid) shower because they used up all the hot water.

At Ft Lee, VA to watch one of my SSgts graduate from the Enlisted Aide course. I forgot how ridiculous PT belts with PT uniforms look. Guess not everyone is embracing the new Army PT belt policy.

I recently did one the things I try to teach my troops to never do. I only read just enough of an AF instruction to validate my argument. Thankfully my error was pointed out before I had my CC go to the O6 w/ bad info.
