Nobody broke in.

The agent had valid credentials, approved access, and a task to finish.

Nine seconds later, production data and backups were gone.

Your long-tenured developers know which programs nobody dares open. That knowledge just isn't in a form a CFO can act on.

Watch: Most legacy rewrites don't fail at the code. They fail at the discovery phase. Teams spending months trying to understand what they're replacing before writing a single line.

We can fix that with CM evovleIT.

If you've spent years making sure nobody trusted legacy code just because it compiled, this one's for you.

A session at The AI Conference this week argued AI coding agents need the same discipline:

Roughly half of enterprises have already had an AI agent pass internal evals and still cause a customer-facing failure.

More evidence won't fix an incentive problem. It's an ownership problem, and almost nobody owns it.

When leadership sets AI priorities, the people who know why the 2 a.m. batch job skips the last business day of the quarter usually aren't in the room.

Lets put that expertise at the front of AI planning.

Programs that treat discovery as a phase end up managing against a document that quietly stopped being accurate somewhere around month two, and rarely find out exactly when.

A habit worth reconsidering now that the cost structure behind it has changed.
