Benefit Concert April 30 at 7 pm, Chanhassen High School. Great music. 20 district music teachers DOING what we TEACH students. Honors Gina Ford & Jean Lindquist who lost their lives to cancer. 4. Proceeds to scholarships for high school seniors continuing with music in college.

These are all student-run bands that meet during our school day. They choose their own music, rehearse on their own and perform. So many standards met, life lessons learned and joy come out of these groups.

March is Music In Our Schools Month. Starting it off with preparing for Evening with the Stars, Honor Orchestra rehearsing for their spring concert, the Jazz Bands getting ready for March performances, the first Pop Ensemble rehearsal & our Mattress Fundraiser on March 10.

We switch from jazz to rock this week as the Garage bands get ready to do shows at Tuttle’s in Hopkins this Monday at 6:30 and at Pioneer Ridge MS this Thursday at 6:00. Come see these 50 incredible rock stars perform! @ce4all @ISD112 @Weststarcenter @112CMSE @PRMTrailblazers

The @ISD112 Jazz Festival is one of the most amazing jazz festivals in Minnesota. Today was incredible. 200 students at Chanhassen High School learning about and performing our country’s first original art form with guest artist Russ Peterson. Congrats students!
