I’ve never felt more seen than when a girl from class texted me “I know you’ve had a stressful week...” on a MONDAY NIGHT.
Like yes love it HAS been a stressful week let’s vent.
I’m cat-sitting and this bean has the AUDACITY to sleep soundly in my bed while I’m studying for ochem.
Terrible houseguest, adorable sleepy face
11/10 would invite him back
In a weird example of role reversal my favorite barista now holds up the line to vent HER problems to ME and idk what that makes me
She is very appreciated though imma let her continue to vent away
Today I thought this kid told me his name (Sean) in the elevator and I was confused but automatically replied with “oh I’m caroline?” And he goes “I’m houston”
I’m so confused and this is why our national elevator policy should be silence
Being on campus again has made me realize that I am constantly apologizing for how I act around people without ever changing how I act around people and idk how I feel about it
I just really REALLY love how I’ve been studying biology at a college level for 3 years and people are still yelling
“THE MITOCHONDRIA IS THE POWERHOUSE OF THE CELL”
in lectures and professors are still saying “EXACTLY!” Every time it happens.
I just opened my door to find a VERY TINY PUPPY just sitting in my doorway? Like just chilling? I said “are you supposed to be here?” And he got up and walked to the next apartment.
I mean he’s welcome to stay but also WHO IS HE ?
First lecture with my art prof and we’re talking about the first recorded monuments and such and she just goes
“don’t even SUGGEST that this was aliens. I refuse to believe it. It was amazing people”
I just love her faith in humanity but also I WANT IT TO BE ALIENS
@cmarieeeeeeee Of course! I know either (or both) programs would be lucky to have you. But seriously there are a ton of ways to get involved with both- I hope you find what works best for you!
@cmarieeeeeeee I basically did both for the first couple years of college! I was a political science major on a pre-med track, so I took all of classes in both subjects. I learned a lot from the content and people in both areas and even though I picked bio- I don’t regret doing polisci at all
How can God’s people “act justly” if churches never broach justice issues in our society?
How can they “love mercy” if churches refuse to point out the sufferings of our neighbors?
How can they “walk humbly” if we adopt postures of “know it allism” without listening to victims?
