@Evertxn@Fade_Cob2@SamWood7_@AdzBoxeo Yeah but most people would from the shots he took. That wlad shot that dropped him would’ve knocked out a lot of fighters . I’m not saying his chin is great, a prime aj had an average chin. Now obviously it’s shot to bits but was average in his prime
@Evertxn@Fade_Cob2@SamWood7_@AdzBoxeo What are you basing him losing 8/10 on? Most of them have pretty poor resumes without big wins , bad losses and smaller and less talented then aj. A prime aj was very dangerous , he didn’t have a great chin but he took big shots from wlad, povetkin, whyte etc
@Itsmutiso@magrath123@lfcJ7_ Because the original tweet was from a Liverpool fan saying the reason Newcastle have ffp problems is because they chose bad signings but how can they foresee they’d flop? It’s like saying Liverpool should’ve got cherki and foreseen wirtz would flop
@Itsmutiso@magrath123@lfcJ7_ Because it doesn’t affect them so obviously they won’t complain . Wasted hundreds of millions last season but spent another few hundred million no problem this season .
@FMuniverse2026@magrath123@lfcJ7_ Two years ago Newcastle won a trophy and qualified for champions league (Brighton have never done either), Villa have finished above Brighton 3 seasons in a row and Newcastle have 3 out of the last 4. They’re run well but not as successful and you can’t even say there are
@FMuniverse2026@magrath123@lfcJ7_ Why have Brighton never won a trophy then or finished higher then 6th when Newcastle and Villa have both done both if they have terrible recruitment and Brighton’s is great?
@FMuniverse2026@magrath123@lfcJ7_ Easier to do when you have lower expectations, nobody cares if Brighton finish 12th. Also not true, manzmabi and Jackson are great replacements for Villa from just this season .
@magrath123@lfcJ7_ So again, they’re supposed to know in advance they won’t flop and if they do, it harms them long term but if Liverpool or United sign a flop, it’s fine and they can buy again
@Sameepsd@AFC_Monty_ By spending money. You see how the only was clubs win things is when they spend money? It’s almost like better players are more expensive and you need better players to win things
@Sameepsd@AFC_Monty_ It’s not winning by any means, the top clubs spend hundreds of millions every year. Poach the best players from other clubs and keep their best players. You can’t compete unless you spend and definitely can’t win leagues unless you do. Spurs spent less and didn’t win leagues
@Sameepsd@AFC_Monty_ The only clubs that have been able to challenge the top teams for a sustained period and successfully (as in winning leagues and champions leagues) are city, Chelsea and psg. All of them required major investment to do so but now are all established. Stadiums are a byproduct
@Sameepsd@AFC_Monty_ But the point is that you can’t build your club into a bigger brand without investment. It’s no surprise the clubs that have done the best outside of the big 6 recently are Villa and Newcastle who have pushed psr as far they can. So unless your perfect with recruitment, you can’t
@Sameepsd@AFC_Monty_ But that wasn’t what I was saying. Why are Newcastle’s signings flops and the reason they can’t invest when you’re invested heavily in players you’re replaced or sold or are now bench players?
@Sameepsd@AFC_Monty_ So why are Newcastle’s players flops , wastes of money who are the reason they can’t compete and have to sell? If 75m for a backup striker, 50m for a backup midfielder, another 75m on another midfielder to replace the 50m midfielder etc is fine
