Contracts submitted before 1 pm ET can still be processed. Detroit (1), Las Vegas (3), and San Jose (1) still have players to be added in this phase.
Next: A selection process at 3 pm ET today if those teams didn't reach 5 players.
Gina Kingsbury said it was two weeks ago that they found out about the opportunity for Troy Ryan to become coach and GM of PWHL San Jose, and confirmed that if not for that, he would "100%" be back as Sceptres coach.
Sceptres GM Gina Kingsbury confirms that Daryl Watts not being apart of the protection was based on a lack of interest in staying in Toronto.
She noted that they thought they were close to a deal with Watts.

If a free agent remains without a contract past 3 pm ET, that player will enter Phase 2 of the expansion process unprotected.
