When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.

They told us Democrats would strip away the Second Amendment.
They told us Democrats would jail us for what we say.
They told us Democrats would drag us into more foreign wars.
They told us Democrats would cover up a child sex trafficking ring.
And then Republicans took power and decided to do all of it themselves.
They shot Renee Good in the face.
They kidnapped Liam Ramos.
They just executed a man on the street.
Unmask them. Prosecute them. No more secret police.
@SenToddYoung That’s nice, Senator. But when are you going to stand up for your constituents and publicly oppose Trump’s rapidly accelerating authoritarian power grabs? History will record and remember your silence in the face of the wholesale erosion of the Constitution.
Oh well, dammit wouldn’t it be a shame if everybody retweeted and followed @iGardon who has 3800 followers. I can’t imagine there’s gonna be a Streisand effect here where he’s gonna get a fuck ton of followers. You know what to do.
Anyone else miss having a president who didn’t thrive on cruelty or chaos—just did the job with quiet dignity, decency, and results?
Yeah me too. I miss @JoeBiden.
