Can’t believe it’s 10 years since this match already. One of the most dramatic days supporting Caley Thistle in their 31 year history. I spoke to fans who recalled the drama and excitement of that Scottish Cup upset over Celtic

Fans shared their thoughts with me on the news of Caley Thistle’s open meeting last night where administration was mentioned as a likely outcome. Hear what they had to say👇

Utterly vile behaviour and a dreadful precedent to see a club SLO subjected to this pathetic and unnecessary brutality. Completely shameful and should be condemned by the entirety of Scottish Football, particularly with a public statement from the support of this club’s ‘fans’
We are aware of an incident involving one of our club employees prior to today’s Premier Sports Cup match against Rangers at Hampden Park.
We are working with Rangers Football Club, Police Scotland, the SPFL and the SFA, with an active investigation now underway.
A somewhat poignant date in the Caley Thistle fan diary August 13th. Today marking 30 years since our first league match. Hopefully today’s news can see us now looking forward to creating much brighter memories for the fanbase and community in Inverness
Months and months of uncertainty hopefully with a line drawn under it now. A new chapter begins and hopefully one that sees the club moving in the right direction. And a brilliant example from fans of @ICTFC that supporters need to be listened to and not forgotten about.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Interim Chairman Panos Thomas:
After months of uncertainty surrounding the future of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club, the Board of Directors have appointed local businessman Alan Savage to take charge of the struggling Highland Club to put the team in a firm financial position.
Working alongside the Club’s Board of Directors, Savage has taken the initiative to oversee the organisational restructure of the Club as they seek to remedy their financial issues, with Chief Executive Officer Scot Gardiner leaving his role with immediate effect.
The Club have also suspended negotiations with Seventy7 Ventures, who had been seeking to acquire a majority shareholding, with Savage beginning immediate work carrying out an internal forensic review of the Club’s financial position to establish plans for the Club’s future and setting the team into a viable position for new ownership.
Savage and the Board are now looking to rejuvenate the connection between Inverness Caley Thistle and the community which will be integral to the long-term future of the Club and are seeking support from local businesses to address the immediate financial shortfall until further long-term investment can be secured.
The Club are now working with Scottish sports marketing agency GRM Marketing to engage with a number of investment leads and commercially drive the club forward.
Inverness Caley Thistle is hopeful that the community will once again rally around the team and come together to support the new foundations being established.
A £1 saving for myself after dropping a division from last season as a loyalty north stand season ticket holder. Quietly changed Also that a 21 year old now will have to pay full price adult, 16-25 price from a few seasons ago is long gone now
The Board of Directors at ICT would like to thank the fans for their patience at this difficult time.
Firstly we can confirm the resignation of our Chairman and Board member Ross Morrison. He leaves with our sincere thanks for the dedicated service he has given to the Club and we are indebted to him for his passion, tireless effort and crucial investment in the Club.
We can also announce that our CEO Scot Gardiner has tendered his resignation, which has been accepted by the Board. Scot is now serving his notice and will be continuing to help the Club get through this difficult period.
Following the continued restructuring of the club, including a revised football model and budget to take us into and beyond season 2024/25, the club is pleased to announce the sale of Season Tickets for this coming season today, our historic 30th Year Anniversary year, with special thanks to Caley Jag Stewart Coghill for the brilliant 30th Anniversary logo.
While the last few weeks have been difficult for everyone connected to the club, as a Board and as a club, we now respectfully ask the supporters to rally around the team and the management, and a squad which will feature more Inverness and Highland players than we have had for many a long year and if ever we need the fans, it is now.
The striking new commemorative 30th Anniversary Puma ICT kits will also be revealed over the weekend and with hugely positive discussions currently ongoing with a number of potential new investors, we hope the Caley Jags fans can also rise to the occasion when we need you the most.

Ridgers and Duffy gone then it seems. After years of fans complaining about communication from the club they’ve now decided they aren’t going to communicate with the players either. Quite unbelievable each piece of information that continues to develop at the moment
