I wonder if this season is when Scott Harris realizes Hinch’s success with the #Tigers hasn’t been because he found some genius way to exploit left-right matchups, but just plugged in guys who came up from the minors hot and didn’t have much scouting against them
@bythewaybro I think what people may be reacting to is how dramatically his offense has evaporated. He’s gone from low average power threat to automatic out. If he could re-find that power stroke, even just against LHP, would be huge increase in value. Always been a fan of his overall.
@TigersData + fewer wild card spots when Leyland was manager. Hinch would have zero playoff appearances in the system that was in effect for Leyland’s teams.
Hinch really outsmarted the other manager again putting Vierling 3 in the order so he could come up against Cleveland’s closer and end the game before Dingler, Greene, or Carpenter came up
Someone please help me understand if microsoft office is going to update & restart without my permission, why it can’t properly shut down microsoft office so i don’t get all these stupid auto recover files. Like either 1984 my computer or don’t. But don’t make extra work for me.
McGonigle crushes the exact play that Zac Short wasn’t able to make yesterday. It’s really unclear what’s driving the idea that Short is a defensive upgrade. Just seems like more overthinking #Tigers
@tigers@evanwoodbery@WatchDSN@971theticketxyt Realize 2 games today but truly believe this team would perform better if he’d just plug in Lee at 2nd, McGonigle SS, Keith at 3rd and just let them play. Mckinstry as occasional start / utility player he is. Greene LF Vierling CF. Let them have some consistency, see what happens
I’ve not been a huge Harris guy (so far) but if you’re going to fire someone fire Hinch. Harris is expecting his young talents development to accelerate disproportionately as they ascend to early prime, not be turned into platoon players and have their growth stagnate
