i love when someone unintentionally makes you a better person. you start picking up new hobbies, trying new things, and seeing life a little differently. that’s such a beautiful part of human connection.
Some women don't flirt with people. They flirt with life. Extra twenty minutes at the café. Fresh flowers for no reason. Music while getting dressed. Taking the scenic way because the sky looks good. There's romance happening between her and being alive.
The more self-regulated you become, the more you realize that communicating your feelings isn’t an emergency. You can sit with it. Sleep on it. Let the wave pass. You don’t have to rush into expression just because the emotion feels loud. That’s why, days after you’ve said your piece and it spirals, you replay it. You think of what you should have said, how you could have said it, or you cringe because you realize you didn’t need to say anything at all. You just needed time.
I fucking love people who become more themselves with age. Stranger taste. Clearer boundaries. Louder laugh. Less interest in impressing random people. Watching somebody slowly stop auditioning for the world is fucking beautiful.
Unfortunately, getting up early, working out, eating mostly healthy, drinking water, having discipline, and telling people no is truly the key to life.
This line from Atomic Habits isn't ready to leave my head:
"It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment."
