Projects with a purpose completed some fantastic projects! The bench is headed to a humane society and the mini library is going to a park! The shelves are almost finished!! @WPSSummer
It was an eggcellent day for #WyckoffWaddles !!! Students candled the 9 eggs to determine which eggs were developing normally. Amazing experience @EmsKrsnak @DougFinale
Change for Change! 6th grade students created projects to promote their chosen endangered species. Top 3 projects from each team are competing today and raising money through donations. All money will go to conservation efforts they choose.
@mrslacasse A4:I would have students delve into curiosities. They will pick a species they are interested in & will connect previous topics like habitat, spheres, environmental impact & can connect cross-curricularly.Research & guided inquiry!#wyckoffinquirymindset
@mrslacasse A3: Middle school students need flexibility in how they reach their end result. We all need to get into the castle-some crawl, some swim and some climb. As long as they make it while learning, they should be allowed to explore options. #wyckoffinquirymindset
@mrslacasse A2: At the end of unit, students choose an endangered species & create an outreach project to promote saving the species. A mix of control and guided inquiry. #wyckoffinquirymindset
