We’re always either creating or consuming.
Create more, and life feels rich and alive.
Consume more, and it starts to feel noisy and hollow.
I want my creation to consumption ratio to be 50/50. Currently I think it’s 5/95.
@trumfallo@theseoguy_ If the Californians want to give you zoning laws, you should listen to them. I couldn’t believe how much of the natural beauty was obscured by literally everything. Billboards, power lines, neon flashing car washes in neighborhoods!
@Romy_Holland I’m a former Mormon. Cheerfulness is a habit. The habits you practice as a child stay with you into adulthood. I can attest to the fact that I am effotlesdly cheerful whether I feel it or not. 😆
@Microinteracti1 Three nights of this nonsense. No rest whatsoever. The problem is systemic and not just the fault of hospitals. There was a lady who kept coming into our room looking for pudding. She apparently lives at the hospital now.
@Microinteracti1 My husband had 2 brutal surgeries & was admitted to a Mercy hospital for recovery. There were unhoused psychiatric patients taking up many beds around him. He shared a room with 1. This translates into the worst kind of screaming all night long. I slept on a chair to protect him.
@SketchesbyBoze How is this possible when you have to be perfect to get into these schools? My kid read Moby Dick in the 4th grade and she’d have almost zero chances of getting into an elite university because I refuse to make her life miserable in the pursuit of it.
@faith_vtch So I did 23 and me and I’m 86% German. I air my house out ALL the time but this wasn’t taught to me. Lol. I can FEEL the stale air like a curse.
