Oklahoma State Football countdown to kickoff: 1 day

The final Bedlam game was epic. Ollie Gordon ran for 2 scores & Dylan Smith made a 4th down stop late in the 4th quarter to seal a 27-24 victory.

I miss Bedlam football. Hope we get it back someday #GoPokes

Rashod Owens made this 32 yard TD catch against Baylor in 2021. The Cowboys beat the Bears 24-14.

There's no doubt in my mind OSU beats Baylor for a 2nd time in the Big 12 CCG if Jaylen Warren is healthy #GoPokes

Highest Graded Returning Big 12 Running Backs🔥

[CFB Kings @CFBKings]

Oklahoma State has had a rough past couple of seasons, but things may change in a big way this fall in Stillwater 👀

The Cowboys brought in North Texas head coach Eric Morris, who led the Mean Green to their best season in program history last year (12-2 record).

Morris brought over numerous pieces from his historic North Texas team, including several coaches and tons of players.

Oklahoma State’s new offensive coordinator is Sean Brophy, who was North Texas’ passing game coordinator and QBs coach last year, helping lead them to the No. 1 offense in PPG in the FBS, and the most passing yards in the FBS.

Offense:
• 5-star UNT transfer QB Drew Mestemaker
• 4-star UNT transfer RB Caleb Hawkins
• James Madison transfer RB Ayo Adeyi
• 4-star UNT transfer WR Wyatt Young
• 4-star Illinois transfer WR Justin Bowick
• 4-star Wake Forest transfer WR Chris Barnes
• Akron transfer WR Israel Polk
• UNT transfer WR Miles Coleman
• Ohio transfer WR Rodney Harris II
• LSU transfer TE Donovan Green
• UNT transfer TE Oscar Hammond

Key offensive line pieces:
• UNT transfer Braydon Nelson (started all 14 games last year, UNT led country in rushing TDs)
• Oklahoma transfer Jacob Sexton (was OU’s Week 1 starter before getting injured)
• Returning starter Jakobe Sanders (started 6 snaps last year, totaled 400 snaps)
• UNT transfer Johnny Dickson III (started 13 games last year, UNT led country in rushing TDs)
• Coastal transfer Joseph Hanson (started 10 games last year, 2nd team All-Sun Belt selection)

Their new defensive coordinator is Skyler Cassity, who was North Texas’ DC last season.

Defense:
• UCLA transfer LB Isaiah Chisom
• UNT transfer LB Ethan Wesloski
• Texas Tech transfer DB Mo Horn
• Missouri transfer DB Mose Phillips III
• UNT transfer DB Quinton Hammonds
• FSU transfer DL James Williams
• UNT transfer DL Fatafehi Vailea
• UNT transfer DL Saadiq Clements
• Returning DB LaDainian Fields, DL Malik Charles, DL Jaleel Johnson

With the dynamic trio of Mestemaker, Hawkins, and Young, who had North Texas averaging 45.1 points per game last year, and numerous other talented transfers creating an entirely new roster, this team won’t be anything like the last two in Stillwater.

What do you think their record will be?
