You can't exactly abstract out the canvas from the artist. And people don't know what they don't know. I didn't know this could be an issue until this thread even.

But why would anyone know it should be pinned on multiple hosts for consistency? Documentation points to pinning it once and it will just work.

Or even using @fencemakerNFT ? People use reputable minters cause it means they don't need to worry about it. They don't even know this IPFS stuff is an issue.

This is why I think it makes sense to handle this as either a minting standard or something to have it pinned in 2 spots?

The bot was just originally meant for a few servers, so when hundreds of projects requested I accepted and put new dev work on the back burner.

I was simply trying to keep up with demand, hoping that once I'm past a certain point I can allocate time to upgrading it.
The scalability didn't have to do with the capability of the bot, but rather how manual it was.

Very sorry that it happened during your mint. Didn't mean to ghost everyone; I took an announced hiatus because of IRL responsibilities and an unscalable code base I couldn't fix at the time.

Is there any way we can leverage the fact that so many CNFTs are rolling through your factory to build a more reliable IPFS retrieval system?

@blockfrost_io @CryptoBurnerAkt @infura_io @ClayNationSales @ChilledKongBot Interesting, that's pretty petty. Is it possible to pin something already on IPFS to blockfrost? The IPFS hash (is that the correct word?) is already present in the NFT project's metadata, so not something that can be easily changed.
Sorry not an IPFS expert.
