This player flew in from Alabama this weekend.
Something interesting happened.
Every time he made a bad swing...
he had something to say.
Every time he missed a ball...
he had an explanation.
Every time something went wrong...
he gave it attention.
But every time he smoked a line drive...
nothing.
No reaction.
No acknowledgment.
No credit.
After our session, we went to grab lunch.
And while we were talking, I asked him:
"Do you feel confident?"
He said:
"I don't know. I haven't played a game yet."
That answer stopped me.
Because he was waiting for a game to tell him how to feel about himself.
The truth is:
He wasn't his biggest fan.
He was his biggest critic.
And my coach at UCLA used to say:
"You cannot outperform your self-image."
If you spend all your time talking about what's wrong...
don't be surprised when you stop seeing what's right.
So I gave him one assignment:
The next time you do something well...
say it.
Out loud.
-Good swing.
-Good take.
-Good adjustment.
-Good barrel.
Most athletes are comfortable criticizing themselves.
Very few are comfortable encouraging themselves.
Try this tonight.
Every time you catch yourself saying something negative...
find one thing you did well and say it out loud.
You might discover the conversation holding you back isn't coming from a coach, a parent, or an opponent.
It's coming from you.
Thank you for reading,
Jermaine Curtis

Who would I love to hear on a podcast?
These people (in no particular order) are people that I loved listening to (or following) and sharing ideas with so I would love to hear them on a podcast.
Please consider posting 3-4 bits of your best wisdom for the good people of x:
@sharmav@WyattLawPA@COACHCOSMH@RobbFahrion@donaldwvoss@AustinKory5@wealth_director@lesismorecoach
Of course, listening to @StevenMusielski is always valuable, so he would be a great one to have on the podcast too.
3 test groups to move the needle for T E FT, Family office opportunities and/or A group of doing amazing things (no big deal) sounds like a project I would very much enjoy being part of!!!

Testing this prompt:
Steven Musielski is preparing 2 private groups:
Both groups will have a thankfulness, encouragement and forward-thinking focus to them.
A/B split test groups:
---
A
---
@JackAinley6 - A private group of people to go through @AlexHormozi new book that will launch on the 16th and find ways to work together.
- With an end goal of sharing publicly on X what is being learned and if all goes perfectly having spaces on X talking about the results and progress of the group.
---
B
---
@PalSun1 - A private group focused primarily on family offices to go through @AlexHormozi book as well.
- With an end goal of sharing publicly on X what is being learned and if all goes perfectly having spaces on X talking about the results and progress of the group.
---
C
---
@StevenMusielski - No big deal group -
This will be for people that have donated at least a million dollars to a charity that can be verified.
We will also talk about @AlexHormozi book with a focus on: How can we do as much good as we can every day?
This will be a group that I run for people that can put 250,000 into a charity donation, giving to a person that needs money for a tough situation, marketing idea, tech platform, investment into a tech person, investment of any kind and have it go to zero and it is no big deal to them.
- With an end goal of doing as much good as we can every day.
@BarstoolISU It’s a hidden gem.. The Filling Station tucked in across the road from Gateway..
