The government’s reopened 20-year and 25-year Treasury bond auction was oversubscribed, with bids of KES 77.63B against KES 60.00B on offer, but Treasury accepted only KES 42.57B_

—Demand was stronger on the 25-year paper, which drew KES 54.95B in bids and a 2.39x bid-to-cover ratio, compared to KES 22.68B and 1.16x for the 20-year.

—Accepted average yields came in at 13.99% for the 20-year and 14.86% for the 25-year.
