A little behind the scenes video for ya from the broadcast booth Thank you to my statistician @RyMoirNHL on Saturday night for capturing this moment! Such a thrill to be able to call 100 in 53 with @LouDeBrusk@GenePrincipe on the final @hockeynight of the reg season @Sportsnet
Honoured to take command of Canadian Fleet Pacific today! I am looking forward to leading and working with our amazing team. Thanks for the backdrop @landoncreasy#LeadTheFleet
Shipmates, we are united in our common purpose of serving at sea, and on Canadian soil. We must continue the fight against COVID-19 by following local public health guidelines.
Through these measures, we can continue our true purpose: protecting Canadians.

It’s always busy in #Esquimalt Harbour!
This morning @HMCS_NCSMRegina entered to refuel at F Jetty and MV Northern Eagle headed in to start a refit at the #EsquimaltGravingDock
Thanks #QHM for the photos

#HMCSCalgary recently made the largest heroin bust in Combined Maritime Forces history, seizing 1,286 kg of heroin. Less than 24 hours later, they made a second large bust of 360 kg of methamphetamine.
#BZ, shipmates!

One of my favourite photos for Battle of the Atlantic Sunday. Cdr J. Hibbard on the Bridge of HMCS Iroquois with his XO LCdr C. Coughlin, after a 5 hour battle that destroyed or damaged 8 German ships that were trying to escape from St. Nazaire, France. Credit: Glen Frankfurter.
12,000 mariners served in Canada’s Merchant Navy during the Battle of the Atlantic. These men and women exemplified the remarkable bravery and heroism of ordinary Canadians who made extraordinary sacrifices during the Second World War.

Royal Canadian Navy Rear Adm. Steve Waddell, Vice Commander, 2nd Fleet, visits @Warship_78 to meet with warfare commanders and receive an in-depth look at underway operations and milestones made during ISE-18 as part of PDT&T. @US2ndFleet#NavyReadiness#NavyPartnerships
I have tremendous news about Prince Rupert.
In March, the B.C. city of 12,000 had the highest #COVID19 transmission rate in the province.
Every adult was offered the chance to be vaccinated.
At the peak, there were more than 100 weekly cases.
Last week, there were 3.
Vaccinations are starting across MARPAC!! So glad that all CANFLTPAC sailors will have the opportunity get their shots and hopefully this means that we are on the road back to “normal” and especially the end of pre-sail quarantines and strict isolations!

Fantastic change of appointment ceremony on board @HMCSWinnipeg today! @goalie871 CPO1 Line Laurendeau took over from CPO1 Pascal Harel, as @PacFltChief CPO1 Sylvain Jaquemot looks on. DYK that all three have been Coxswains of @HMCSWinnipeg?
VADM Linda Fagan has been nominated by @WhiteHouse to be next Vice Commandant of the #USCG. She's scheduled to relieve @VComdtUSCG Charles Ray in June 2021. Fagan is the USCG's first-ever Gold Ancient Trident and, if confirmed, will be the service's first female 4-Star admiral.
I don't normally do personal business here, but am a big believer that the more people normalize taking AZ the more people will be convinced that the risk analysis weighs in favour of ALWAYS taking the first shot available
so
I'm booked for AZ tomorrow !!!!
Booked my appointment! I’ll be getting the AstraZeneca vaccine at a local pharmacy tomorrow.
Let's show all British Columbians that the best vaccine is the one that's available to you now.

Small teams of highly professional sailors delivering significant strategic effect by partnering with key allies to defend our entire region from the scourge of drug trafficking. Canadians should know how highly their sailors are regarded by allies.
