" I'll buy the beers when we get home. " A promise as he crosses the threshold, whispered to Crane.

A pause, during which he’d start to smile a little. Then he’d add, quieter this time

“…You look good too, Reid.”

Before that could hang between them too long, he moved to get the door for them both.

he begins to walk away, shoulder checking him as he does.

“i like Crane 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 better. he takes me to go get coffee sometimes”

Walking back up, Crane had deliberately waited until he was back in front of Reid before sliding the bright red horns on his head.

"Alright - Better?"

He'd offer a sweet smile and slide his hands into his pockets.

⠀⠀⠀He looked away, and for a moment, it almost sounded like Reid... whimpered? But the entire ordeal seemed to slide right off. Leaving disappointment to melt into glee as Crane surrenders and goes to procure his Reid-curated costume.

It was /impossible/ to maintain eye contact when Reid did the eyes /with/ the voice.

“Uh… Yeah about that.”

Crane risked glancing over and regretted doing so.

Checkmate.

“I just left them in - Lemme go get those.”

Defeat was a walk back to the car he’d just parked.

Grin graces those previously frustrated features, and Reid gives a small wiggle of appreciation. Once done he turns to give an almost disappointed frown, in realization. Puppy dog eyes voicelessly pleading.

“ You’re not wearing your horns… ”

Wanders over wordlessly and moves Reid's hands away.

"I got it, hold on."

Sets to fixing his wings.

Oh, but Reid wasn’t annoyed. Quite the contrary. He looked quite pleased with himself.

he grins, still somewhat pushing the boundaries of annoying Reid.

And actually, yeah, Daycare’s a smart angle. Trouble is, she seems fond of Prescott. It might be challenging to get her to talk.
