On Reading the Syllabus: A Pedagogical Thread 🧵
If an instructor puts a cryptic message within uni-mandated syllabus boilerplate, of course the $50 will go unclaimed. This proves nothing about whether students actually internalized the key concepts of the syllabus. 1/
I'll never get tired of saying this: make yourself visible as someone that cares about racial inequality, mental health, LGBTQ+ issues, access for disabilities. As soon as you do that, you might be approached by people that really need your help. Be visible. Be outspoken.
