Unpopular opinion but I’ll share it anyway: principals have been amazing this schoolyear. Thankless job. Angry parents. Constantly changing directives from politicians. Staff feeling beat down. Kids in crisis. And they showed up amid the chaos and did their best.

GCISD has provided support to families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March 2020, we have served 617,702 curbside meals, provided 382 hotspots to families who were in need of internet access, and distributed 6,000 books to students who picked up meals. #LEADGoals
