🪙 Ahead of COP17, the Central Bank of Armenia and the Ministry of Environment present a silver commemorative coin dedicated to COP17.
It is the first commemorative coin issued by the Central Bank of Armenia to be made from recycled silver. No gas or other fossil fuels were used in its production: the minting process was powered entirely by solar energy, while all packaging components are made from recycled paper. The commemorative coin has been issued for representational purposes.
It not only symbolizes biodiversity conservation, but also reflects the COP17 message through the way it was produced: Taking Action for Nature. 🌿

🌍 The road to COP17 begins long before the Conference itself.
Before Parties gather in Yerevan, months of technical work, consultations, preparatory discussions and high-level engagement are already taking place.
This process lays the groundwork for the work that will continue in Yerevan during COP17.
And after the Conference, the decisions taken in Yerevan will need to translate into action.
🌿 COP17 is a key milestone in a much longer global process for biodiversity.
