Those new rockin' @Kars4kids radio ad spots are outstanding. And they should be, because they took in $99.9 million in 2023 and blew $39.6 million of it on marketing! If only there was a charity where 90% went to programs... oh wait... https://t.co/1btCdQRhfc!
Our radio interview just dropped @ https://t.co/IIrrQccemd! Founder Tim Whitley chats w/The Money Pulse host @Dynasti_Y about COTAP's origins, offsetting's use case, why @Greenpeace sucks, why @Anthropozine doesn't, and offsetting's historical & political contexts.
COTAP now accepts stock thanks to our partnership with @everydotorg! https://t.co/W74mIMkhFd. Avoid capital gains, get an income tax deduction, take action on your unavoidable CO2 emissions, and create life-changing income for some of the world's poorest communities! @markulr
@joeroganhq Many fascinating and worthy guests but too many repeats, too many comedian/UFC/filler types, too many who fit with his "narratives." @joerogan is mailing it in more than he used to and needs to step outside of his comfort zone more.
COTAP on the radio! Tune in to @KDOW1220AM Wed 11/12 @ 2 PM Pacific to listen to founder Tim Whitley chat with @Dynasti_Y, host of The Money Pulse, part of @SalemMediaGrp's The Wall Street Business Network. Also airing 11/15-11/17 and eventually online at https://t.co/SdtSPPTYB9.
As Google's Scope 2 emissions explode 3x from 2020 to 3.1m tonnes, it teams up with a $30 million Series A for-profit. Not surprisingly, "Both companies declined to comment on the value of the deal." What $/% is going to participating rural communities?! https://t.co/s9bovLGmWW
"It’s time to put human welfare at the center of our climate strategies" - @BillGates. Hmmm... he might just be onto something! https://t.co/NhOLHhaB10
So there's active ethnic cleansing in Sudan as the U.S. announces a 2026 refugee ceiling of 7,500... down from 125,000 and now prioritizing white South Africans. Or maybe not? The next TACO Tuesday is coming up November 4th...
If direct air removal costs $500 per tonne, removing just US emissions would cost ~$3 trillion annually (~4x US military spending).
It would also require twice the total power generation capacity of the US today (and it has to be carbon-free).

A new analysis by @SpaceIntell's Chief Scientist, @EdMitchard, and others, finds that the West et al. 2023 study on REDD+ projects contains serious flaws and unfairly discredits the impact of forest carbon projects. Read the paper and press release: https://t.co/B5aXkVfCo0

My hypothesis, sadly, is that the surge/crash pattern in climate journalism exists because news outlets are chasing a limited pool of readers who are already engaged. You can throw more reporters at it, more glitzy visuals, but in the end, it’s a finite audience. There is an aura of engagement as climate-focused news consumers like and repost content for others in this limited pool to like and repost.
