@Ronhotspur I agree Serie A was possible, but that says more about the standard of that league. I love Son, but I can understand the move. Like I said, final ball still good, elite crossing/finishing, but for a top team, struggled to create a yard for himself. It was time.
@kuduskonquest He still has a few years, why would he sign during our lowest period. Owners have to spend big in summer to convince current guys that theyโre part of a serious project. They must be demoralized with all the losses
@simonyemane SPECIFICALLY: we came out pressing, won most duels which is part effort part luck, got good momentum but failed to finish from high turnovers. Overall positive. By the end, we were gassed (ex: Tel) & w/ small bench, fielded our only other professional playersโฆ regardless of fit.
@DougieCritchley Not a country with much to be proud of given their indigence towards human rights. Qarabag is a disputed territory that recently underwent an ethnic cleansing and the propping up of that region with huge investments in their team is an obvious form of sports washing.
@DougieCritchley It shows how impressive the pep (and ig Klopp) era was in terms of longevity. Barca and psg both playing champagne football last year, comparable to prime Barca at times, but both taking a small step backwards, whether itโs fatigue, personnel, opps adjusting.
@Jon_Mackenzie Donโt think spurs have the players to hold up the ball. Same issue under Ange in the end. Richarlison, Son, Johnson, Tel, maybe Xavi and Odobert. Yes theyโre isolated, but solanke, kudus, and Kulu all good at holding and waiting for support. Hard to control the game otherwise.
@LilywhiteLab For me heโs much closer to looking like a serious contributed than Tel is. I think a loan to a functional team in top 5 leagues would do him a LOT of good.
@HimothyReports Biggest problem is a lack of hold up play from out striker, esp w/out Romero. Our double pivot and boring possession is the reason we hardly concede chances. A striker that can add to our offensive play and wonโt lose the ball is what weโre lacking.
