Sr. Cecilia María of the Holy Face, a Carmelite nun from Argentina, died in 2016 after a battle with cancer. She died wearing a radiant smile. Her radiant smile until the very end revealed a soul deeply at peace with God, reminding us that Christian joy can endure even the greatest suffering.

Today, the Church celebrates the feast of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, the founder of Opus Dei, the saint who reminded the world that holiness is not reserved for monasteries or pulpits. It is found in the office, the classroom, the workshop, the home, and in the faithful fulfilment of ordinary duties with extraordinary love for God.
