Successful coaches learn to teach not tell. Tellers provide nothing but words and expect things to magically change with announcing the obvious. Teachers help players problem solve together with 2 way communication. Tellers think identifying and saying the problem is the solution. Teachers work with the athletes to help them understand how to fix the issue. If telling worked, non athletes could just tell themselves to be athletes. Teaching requires more planned preparation with understanding of human behavior.

Marco will be hitting the portal and looking for a high impact role. Kid hits. Can hit anybody, any level. I told you guys. Kid grinded through redshirt at hillsborough, then d2 Florida summer league where he led his team in hitting. Now, led his D3 Bethany in hitting. And threw 65 innings. Durable hardworking kid.
A bad coach tears people down. An average coach focuses only on results. A good coach teaches skills and systems. A great coach builds confidence and trust. An exceptional coach helps people believe in themselves at a higher level. And the best coaches impact lives long after the scoreboard stops mattering.
