Speaking at the CFO Leadership Academy 8th Cohort Graduation 2025/26 and 9th Cohort Launch 2026/27, CPA Derick Nkajja emphasized that the future finance professional must go beyond numbers to become a value creator, strategic thinker, and relationship builder.
He noted that while AI will facilitate and support finance functions, professionals who only perform tasks that can easily be replicated risk being left behind. The future belongs to those who continuously adapt, innovate, and develop uniquely human skills.
