Yes, Ms. A! “Abernethy believes offering Algebra 1 as an elective — in addition to a required general eighth-grade math course — gives students the choice to pursue additional instruction.”@SFUSDMath@SFUSD_Supe@SFUnified
Members of Asian PAC celebrating 5-year anniversary of @SFParents, from Decreasing-the-Distance to Kids Can’t Wait for @SFUnified parents voice on high quality education!
Today, I signed legislation to support 112,000 San Francisco kids, families, seniors, and workers whose SNAP benefits were disrupted by the federal government shutdown.
Over the past two weeks, these San Franciscans who rely on SNAP have been told repeatedly that they would finally get the assistance they need—but Washington denied them again and again. In San Francisco, we have had our neighbour’s backs the whole time.
With $9.1 million in City funding—matched by Crankstart for a total of $18 million—we moved quickly to make sure families can put food on the table. Nearly half of eligible households have already accessed their grocery cards. If you receive SNAP benefits and need assistance, call SFHSA at (855) 355-5757. Thank you to the Board of Supervisors and all our partners for acting quickly.

Glad to see Asian PAC at the @SFUnified Literacy Fair yesterday at the @gordonjlaues. Hundreds of parents and their children received resources, services and activities for their engagements in their education and their community.
.@SFUnified Superintendent Maria Su took on a $114 million budget deficit, staffing shortages and a broken payroll system when she was sworn in a year ago. #caedu
