Best story in D-1 baseball @NIU_Baseball. From 10 wins in 2023 to program-record 35 and first NCAA tourney trip since 1972. So happy for @ryancopelandNIU.
Having worked along side both @ryancopelandNIU and @JKelchNIU and how they operate is different. The highest level of recruitment, competitiveness, and obsession for building and winning . Itβs not a surprise to me they got to this point with NIU baseball at all.
I love this team! Phenomenal group that just brings it every day! This was EARNED the right way, the passion, commitment to success, and ability to handle all types of adversity have led us here. More work to be done, but proud of the regular season we had!
Dylan Crews Cage Work & High Tee. Great stuff here that all young players could take some nuggets from. Love the best players coming out and telling the world what they truly do in the cage. Short, flat, quick swings play at every level in the world! β

I couldnβt be more excited for the opportunity to lead this Upstate baseball program! Iβve been fortunate to be apart of the recent success of this program and look forward to many more years of success here at Upstate! Staying home!
This is beyond stupid. Caleb Williams is walking into the best situation a number 1 QB has ever had. People will say thatβs crazy and hate on the Bears but when was the last time a number 1 joined a 7-10 team with 2 great receivers, a top 10 TE and a good defense?
If you are an 18 year old recently graduated HS student-athlete, who has ambitions to play college baseball, understand this ππΌ
You are competing for scholarships and roster spots against guys 2-4 years older, bigger, stronger and more experienced than you.
Be realistic and open minded about where your open to playing.
The last 3 years I've seen so many guys try to force themselves onto college programs they have no realistic chance of playing or making the team.
If you think you're going to "walk on" somewhere, with no previous dialogue with the coaching staff, without them showing any real interest, you will also end up in the transfer portal. A walk on spot is not what you think it is.
Go where you are wanted, play for people who value you, regardless of the division. It's not a popularity contest, your ignorance is only going to hurt you.
Has there ever been such a clear failure by NFL scouting departments than that of Puka Nacua?
He literally walked in straight from draft day and took the league by storm.
It's not like he spent years developing after the draft to get to this point.
Incredible.
Soph. RHP Kevin Pauly (@RolTroj) showed an interesting FB; upper-80s, T90 mph, with carry through the zone.
6-foot-3. 205-pound frame with physicality.
