CPDC Meets DISY President Annita Demetriou
Nicosia, 10 February 2026 — The Founding President of CPDC, Dr. Meltem Onurkan Samani paid a visit today to Annita Demetriou, President of Democratic Rally (DISY).
**CPDC** has published expanded proposals for a **two-tier Consultative Body** to support the Cyprus peace process: a Standing Civic Advisory Council and a Rotating Civic Assembly selected through professional random sampling.

@GeorgePhilis We are not naive enough to think you can get leader buy-in to go straight from there to citizens working on how to end the cyprob. So with @CPDCCYPRUS we are starting slow n steady: an assembly on how to “update” peace process so that isn’t structurally flawed + always fails.
