This Saturday, down in Bloomington, we will have 2 athletes competing in the indoor state meet! Hayden Kemple in the 3200 and Taylor Hornbeck in pole vault. Good luck to you both!
Braiden Jarboe competed in long jump, 110&200 hurdles. In the long jump he was 10th place with a jump of 18’2.5”. In the 110 he finished in 5th place with a time of 16.81. And Braiden finished his day in the 200 as state runner up! Destroying his own school record by 4.11 seconds
Conner Rios in the state meet ram the mens 110 hurdles and 200 hurdles. In the 110, he finished in 26th place with a time of 18.81. In 200 he placed 19th with a new PR of 28.95. Which beats the current school record by 1.12 seconds!
Yesterday two junior high Clinton prairie athletes participated in the Indiana state track meet. Conner Rios and Braiden Jarboe. They helped Clinton prairie place 19th place out of 67 teams!
In the junior high Hoosier Heartland conference track meet today Clinton Prairie girls finished in seventh place and our boys finished first as conference champions!
So far this season we have had several amazing runs and personal bests including the states best times and distances currently recorded in the 100, 110 hurdles, 200 hurdles, long jump, 800. We have several kids in the top 10 in the 400, 4x4, 4x1, high jump, the mile and discus.
We couldn’t have asked for a better finish to our season today as we were able to bring 7 athletes to the middle school state competition! This is the most out of any team in our country or conference. They trained incredibly hard and proved themselves and then some.
To complete our day today Hayden Kemple finished state runner up in the 2400 meter run! He finished with a time of 7:50.41, a personal best and new school record!
